A downloadable font

The monospaced font for people who like Minecraft a bit too much.

Note: This project is not affiliated with Minecraft or Mojang in any way and is exclusively a fan project. This font emulates the typeface of the font used in the Minecraft UI, but it does not include any assets or font files from the original game.

What is it?

Ever wanted a font that made everything you typed look like it was written in Minecraft? Well this is that font, with some added extras that make coding, note taking, and writing so much better. Monocraft is "monospaced", meaning that every character is the same width. So whether you're typing "i" or "W", they both fit in the same block of space on your computer. This makes things look so much cleaner as well as making it possible to write code with Monocraft!

Monocraft also includes "ligatures", which are glyphs that are drawn when certain characters are typed in order. So if you type "-" and ">" together, the font will automatically draw out an arrow that looks like "→" ! This can be extremely helpful while coding or during note-taking as it makes symbol combinations a whole lot easier to read. Click here for a full list of available ligatures!

How do I install it?

Easy! Check out the instructions here on GitHub to install the font and grab the font files from here or from the download links below. I highly recommend "Watching" the GitHub repo to subscribe to new releases as I am constantly adding new glyphs.

License

Monocraft is fully open-source, however the code that generates the font and the font itself are licensed differently to best match each use case. The code is licensed under GPL 3 and the font is licensed as OFL 1.1

I like this font. It gives the code a small and sweet look!

(+1)(-1)

You should add the license into metadata for the asset packs:

"Edit asset pack->Metadata->Release Info->License for assets" It will increase the size of audience that will be able to find your art

There you can also find a place for license of code

(-2)

I recommend you to add "ttf" and "otf" tags
